
Summary
This was built in Flash, which tells you roughly when it happened. The Sony Altus microsite was an interactive product experience for the launch of Sony's wireless music system — a video-driven journey through a staged home environment where a young couple moved between rooms, each transition revealing a new space and a new set of products to explore. Users could click on hotspots to learn about individual Altus components or navigate between rooms, triggering new video sequences as they went.
I helped design, develop, and edit the experience end to end. Interaction design, Flash development, video post production. It was featured in Communication Arts, which at the time was about as good as it got for web work.
The site no longer runs — Flash saw to that. But the Communication Arts archive still has it:
